The Salomon S/MAX 10 is a sporty piste ski for intermediate to advanced skiers looking for precise edge grip, quick edge changes and plenty of energy through every carving turn. With a 72 mm waist and relatively short turn radius, it is quick and easy to put on edge while providing the stability needed as speed increases.
The new Dual Core 2 construction combines an ash wood core with HT Tri Axial Fiber. This creates a strong and stable platform with efficient power transmission while keeping the overall setup light. A Ti Insert above the core adds edge grip, energy and stability on firm groomed snow.
Salomon's new Edge Amplifier SL is designed to transfer more power directly to the edges. According to Salomon, the redesigned construction provides 30% more edge grip while maintaining the right amount of flex underfoot. This gives the S/MAX 10 a lively and agile character with quick response from one turn to the next.
With dimensions of 120-72-105 mm and a radius of around 13 metres, the S/MAX 10 is particularly well suited to short and medium carving turns. It strikes an excellent balance between an accessible piste ski and more demanding high-performance models, making it a strong choice for skiers looking to develop their carving while still enjoying an energetic ski throughout the day.
